I attended Eastchester High School from 2003 to 2007. It is a relatively small public high school (my graduating class had 180 students) located in the town of Eastchester, which is in Westchester country (people are always confused when I tell them this). EHS has the most original school colors (red, white and blue) and mascot (eagle) imagined.

John Bowne High School

I was graduated from John Bowne High School, a school which is famous for its agricultural program. Every year, the elites from agricultural program were accepted by Cornell University. We are also very lucky to be the neighbor of Queens College. Queens College provided us a lot of convenience. They share their track with us so that we can jog and run during our gym period. They also offer certain college now courses to us, and we were benefited from these college level courses. Bowne also has a variety groups of sports teams and after school clubs. As I remember, my school Track-Team members were used to be the on top-five place in city championship. You can always see the school mascot— wild cat when we are having a home game. I was also involved in some teams and clubs. I was a member of the school Math-Team and the vice-president of Chinese Club. I enjoyed a lot of fun after I joined these extra-curriculums. If you want to know more about my alma mater, you can visit the school website johnbowne.org.

Riverhead High School

I graduated from Riverhead High School, in Riverhead, NY. Riverhead High School is a diverse community of responsible lifelong learners, committed to maximize the education of all students. I graduated eighth in a class of 297 students, with a weighted average of 100.5. Home of the Lady Waves: I played proudly on the JV basketball team in my freshamn and sophomore year, I was Vice President of the Foreign Language Honor Society, and was also a member of the National Honor Society. I spent a majority of my school years in Catholic School, but I transferred to public school in the 9th grade. I loved every second of it! From homecomings to proms, my friends and me always had a good time.GO BLUE WAVES !!

West Irondequoit High School

I attended West Irondequoit High School from 1976-1980. Irondequoit is a suburb of Rochester, New York bordered by Lake Ontario to the north, the Genesee river to the west and Irondequoit Bay to the east. You can learn lots more from IHS in Wikipedia and from the Town of Irondequoit.

When I attended IHS we were the "Indians" to honor the Native Americans who first settled Upstate New York, particularly the Seneca of the Iroquois Nation. However, recognizing that these depictions can be disrespectful and inappropriate ( NYS Ed Dept. Statement), in 2001 the district sought a new symbol. After a community vote, they chose the Eagles. I had submitted the idea that IHS teams should be the "Silver Halide" to remember the huge role that Eastman Kodak and photographic film plays in the life of Rochester. It wasn't widely supported!

At IHS I was quite an athlete, playing 4 years of varsity Math, lettering in Chess, synchronized swimming (we guys just did lifts) and Chemistry Olympiad. The lead in our senior year school musical, who has since gone on to a successful career as a cabaret singer, once told me that my acting in that production "brought tears to (her) eyes". Perhaps you can guess whether they were tears of joy or pain.
