Main Summary

There was once two step cousins twice removed, three times put back in. These two cousins names were Cosmic Chris and Cosmic Caitie. They got along very well, and even had a dog named Cosmo. But there was something unique about the trio. You see, Cosmic Chris, his cousin Cosmic Caitie, and their dog Cosmo were from the outer reaches of the galaxy. They were different due to the fact that they could detect and attach to cosmic rays. This was actually their means of transportaion around the universe.

Around the same time as Cosmic Chris, Cosmic Caitie, and Cosmo were bouncing around on cosmic rays, there was a scientist named Helio. He was working on a big project: Detecting cosmic rays. He knew they existed, but had never been able to detect them. After a while however, he became very sad at not being able to get any data. One day on a very rainy night, he was sitting in his lab crying. Not being able to even obtain one piece of data for over 40 years of working could really put a guy down, even one as determined as Helio.

When Helio was sitting at his lab crying, another man walked into the lab. He was an extremely odd looking man, with a lighthning scar that ran from the top left side of his forhead to the bottom left of his mouth. The man's name was Doctor Arjuna, and had been doing research for as long as he could remember. This came from the inspiration he aquired when he was just a baby. When he was just four years old, Arjuna was struck by lightning. Since then, he has been terrified of lightning and anything that causes lightning. It had been said that there were illegal experiments going on at Doctor Arjuna's lab, but at this time, Helio trusted his friend very much.

When Doctor Arjuna walked in to Helio's lab to see how he doing- Arjuna knew how difficult it was being a scientist- he saw that Helio was crying and comforted him. By the time Arjuna left, Helio was feeling better and decided to give the project more time. Right when Helio was starting to work again, an amazing thing happened. At the same exact time as his machine that was rigged to signal when a cosmic ray was detected went off, two teenage kids appeared in his lab. Not knowing whether to be happy about the cosmic ray detection, or whether to be upset about the fact that two kids just appeared in his lab from out of nowhere, Helio, just kind of looked back and forth between the two areas.

As it turned out, the kids were not dangerous, and Helio was able to talk to the kids, explaining about his work, or lack of, and also learn about the interesting qualities of the two kids. He also recorded his data for the cosmic ray. However, after talking to Cosmic Chris and Cosmic Caitie, he learned that their dog Cosmo was missing. He was supposed to be able to travel with them, and it was very unusal for him to be gone. He suggested they look around for him and even put up some flyers.

After the flyers were printed out, the step cousins twice removed, three times put back in went to talk to Helio's friend Doctor Arjuna. After wishing them luck, Helio turned back to the recorded information, saying he would let them know if anything else happened. When they arrived at his lab, the kids were amazed by all the big machinery and started to talk to him about all the "cool stuff" in his lab.

Becuase of this, Doctor Arjuna got distracted and failed to watch his equipment. As he talking to the two kids about not only about the machinery, but their missing dog. As they were talking about how much they missed their dog Cosmo, he appeared right next to them. Doctor Arjuna started yelling about how the net had failed, and it was then that the kids realized what had happened. Doctor Arjuna was the one that had caused their dog to be trapped, and it turned out to be a net that trapped cosmic rays, and in this case the trio who used the cosmic rays. Helio then walked in, saying excitedly that another cosmic ray detection had come through. This only confirmed Cosmic Chris's and Cosmic Caitie's thoughts.

It turned out that Doctor Arjuna was behind the whole cosmic ray net thing, and was really just afraid of lightning. In order to help Arjuna, Cosmic Chris, Cosmic Caitie, and Julio sent Doctor Arjuna to Jupitar under the Red Spot where there is a constant lightning storm. The therapy there was very good for Arjuna, and he was able to get over his fear. Eventually he came back to Earth and ended up helping Julio with his paper work, who had a lot, due to the fact that he had won a Nobel Prize for his discovery of cosmic rays. With the Earth a better place, Cosmic Chris, Cosmic Caitie, and Cosmo took off to continue their journey through out the stars.
