Live Data from Stony Brook

Dima Vavilov has implemented a LabView data acquisition system that displays the latest signals from the detectors that triggered a 3- or 4-fold coincidence. You can see a digital scope image showing the signals. The top box shows all four traces and the lower one show each individual trace. See more events as they happen. Sometimes it fails because the detectors are used for some other purpose at that time. Then see a visualization of previously recorded data.

Live Spectrum Analysis of Radio Signals from Stony Brook

Zejie Zhang has made the spectrum analysis of the radio signals from Stony Brook streaming live online. The radio signals are recorded with the WinRadio receiver, which is tuned to the TV Channel 4 in Chapel Hill, NC. The live page consists a spectrum screen, showing the 2000Hz pass band of the signals. The bright dots around 1000Hz indicate the possible reflections from meteors, the long vertical lines (several KHz in frequency) are most likely associated with the lightning activities, and the continuous horizontal lines (which are separated roughly 60Hz) are due to the local TV Channel 4 in NYC, NY.
