On June 13th, data from Rocky Point HS started to be transfered to our main server via the GRID based data acquisition. The data acquisiton architecture designed by John Hover with help of students and Dima Vavilov was installed at Rocky Point few weeks before. Data transmission started a bit later after solving few hardware problems. Jeff Spahn from Rocky Point has written the very first data acquisition for MARIACHI for its demonstration phase. The current DAQ uses grid computing technology to synchronize data collection at remote sites and our main server. Prior to the installation at a remote site the DAQ was tested at Stony Brook with a station located on the 4th floor of the building. This represents a major step towards data collection from all MARIACHI sites.
