Proving Lightening theory

From MariachiWiki

Due to the ionizing effects of cosmic radiation it has been theorized that lightening can be started by the trail made by cosmic showers. This comes from experiments and results that have taken place inside the detectors known as a spark chamber. However, lightening takes place on a much larger scale and cannot be fully determined if this change in size has any major effects on the discharge of such energy. In order to analyze this further one could create a larger scale of such an occurrence. The lightening chamber would consist of two scintillators placed at the top and bottom of a chamber to measure if a cosmic ray shower is actually coming through the cage. Now after taking these measurements one could then turn on an electric field to create a difference in electric charge in the top and bottom of the chamber. Now all that would be need is to observe the chamber and see if the discharges seem related to any major events linked to the data being drawn from the scintillators.
