1 California Dhawan
California, who doesn't know about it? The home to Hollywood, Los Angeles, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Gary Coleman (yup, what you talkin about Willis). California is also the most populated state in the United States, making campaigners try harder in it. California is known for its glamorous lifestyle and a large tourism sector.
HISTORY
California was admitted into the United States during the Mexican cession to fulfill the idea of manifest destiny shared by the American people. Manifest Destiny was the idea that America must expand and possess the entire North American continent to spread the ideals of democracy.
WILD LIFE
California is home to one of the richest and most diverse populations of wild life in America. California boasts several superlatives in its collection of flora; the largest trees, the tallest trees, and the oldest trees. It also boasts a wide range of flora and fauna. California is part of the Nearctic ecozone and spans a number of terrestrial ecoregions.
California's large number of endemic species includes relic species which have died out elsewhere, such as the Catalina Ironwood (Lyonothamnus floribundus). Many other endemics originated through differentiation or adaptive radiation, whereby multiple species develop from a common ancestor to take advantage of diverse ecological conditions (such as the California lilac (Ceanothus).

3 New York
What can I say? New York has the best city in the world, New York City - the home of the meanest squirrels in the world. The Big Apple is the center for the United Nations and is the economic center of the world. More importantly though, it's one of the hottest cities for travelers to visit! It has the Empire State Building, Central Park (probably the only place where you'll see a tree in the city), and Radio City Music Hall just to name a few. Also, being one of the largest and the most populous city in the world, there's always something new to see even for locals like me, who are there a dozen or so times a year. I'm still amazed every time I visit. One hint from experience though. Be careful if you climb the Statue of Liberty because it's not the safest staircase to climb.
4 Florida Grove![]()

Ohio is a cool state because it is home to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. It also has groovy cities such as Cleveland, Cincinnati, Columbus and Toledo.
The Great Lake State
Located scenically in the Midwest, Michigan is bordered by four of the five Great Lakes. They are Lake Erie, Lake Huron, Lake Michigan and Lake Superior. It is the ONLY Bi-peninsular state, separated by the Straits of Mackinac and connected by the Mackinac Bridge. The State has been a cultural inspiration for many people, including the album pictured in this description by Sufjan Stevens (who incidentally happens to be a native Michiganian). Do you enjoy cherries? Michigan is the biggest producer of cherries in the United States! Perhaps you enjoy your cherries sitting comfortably in a chair by a lake. While you are Michigan, you will never be more than 6 miles away from a natural water source. So, as Sufjan Stevens said, "SAY YES! TO MICHIGAN!"
9 Georgia Gupta
There are many great places to visit in Georgia. Other than the obvious famous captiol of Atlanta, you can go to numerous attractions. They include the Georgia Aquarium, Stone Mountain Park, Six Flags, and Pebble Hill Plantation.
Georgia is home to 63 parks, 48 of which are state parks and 15 that are historic sites in addition to many state wildlife preserves. Georgia has a very successful economic structure. Georgia's 2005 total gross state product was $364 billion.
If Georgia were a stand-alone country, it would be the 18th largest economy in the world.

New Jersey is a beautiful state that gets a bad rap, mostly from the oil refineries that you have to drive past. In fact, it’s really the “garden state” and home of Jersey tomatoes.
12 Virginia
14 Washington
15 Indiana- Home to one of the most repetative yet vaguely entertaining sports known to man and the few extra terestrials that choose to study us because of the boredom that envelopes the universe.(Sarcasm) This is the Indiana 500 and acquires crowds of great enthusiasm known to the people as Hoosier Hysteria. Hoosier is the title that you will acquire upon entering this state which refuses to totally conform to the polygonic shape of a rectangle but stills chooses to maintain some regularity just as a young student will shrink under the school teacher's gaze but still wishes to express its rebeliousness by sticking out its tongue while the professor's back is turned. If that does not do it for you, there is a very nice lake located to the north!!!

37 Nebraska Smirlis
Nebraska (IPA: /nəˈbɹæ.skə/) is a state located on the Great Plains of the United States of America. Nebraska gets its name from a Chiwere word meaning "flat water", after the Platte River that flows through the state.[2] Once considered part of the Great American Desert, it is now a leading farming state. Nebraskans have practiced scientific farming to turn the Nebraska prairie into a land of ranches and farms. Much of the history of the state is the story of the impact of the Nebraska farmer. Nebraskans are sometimes colloquially referred to as "Cornhuskers" (which is derived from the state nickname).

0 Illinois sucks I hate it, despite the maps it is not real. California is though. It rocks. 1 California The best state with the biggest population I California has amazing houses, drama (Hollywood), the big Hollywood sign and has all the actors and actresses. This is the taco of America. The official language of south California is Spanish, so "ola senorita". Chicks are everywhere.... as Borat would say "very nice". In California gambling is very big, and everyone wins. You can start out with one dollar and end up with 1,000,000 dollars. There is no work here, and you get payed by the state. You can chillax on the beach while drinking a magarita. It is all fun and games
