Hi, my name is Komal Majahid. I was born in an Islamic household in Queen on May 22, 1987. I moved to Pakistan when I was 6 years old and stayed there from 1st to 7th grade. I moved back here to East Quogue and went to WesthamptonBeach Middle in the 8th grade. My majors at StonyBrook are Applied Math and Statistics and Chemistry. I am also in the Sigma Beta Honor Society and the Collegiate Scholars Program. I volunteer at Peconic Bay Medical Center since 10th grade on the weekends and like to listen to music, watch TV, and go to the beach when I'm bored. In my freetime I like to play badminton, cricket, and basketball with my brother. Another thing I like to do is to collect quotes. They don't have to be very famous to have an entry in my book, they just have to be interesting and unique. Some of my favorite books are Memoirs of a Geisha, Sense and Sensibility, and The Things They Carried. My goal is to become a physician and I intend to go to StonyBrook Medical School to fulfill that. Maybe I'll move to Pakistan after medical school, or stay here, I haven't decided that yet.
